Luke's story Everly and Max

                                                                               Max and Evie

One beautiful morning, Everly and Rylie woke from a good night sleep. Everly began to cry because she was hungry. Her loud cries woke up some of her family. Her rowdy brothers Luke and Cole ran on by to go play upstairs. Mom yelled for the boys, “ Come back down here!” Mom wanted to go for a walk, but first they must clean their room. Luke and Cole loved going for walks so they quickly cleaned their room by stuffing everything under their bed.  The boys excitedly told their mother they were ready for their walk! Mom said, “Get read for our walk and Cole don’t forget to put your socks on!”  Cole chose the bike, Luke picked the scooter, their older sister Rylie picked the other scooter.  Mom put toddler Everly in the bright red jogging stroller. Before they began their walk mom said, don’t forget Max!  Max was the crazy naughty doggie.
It was a beautiful day for a walk.  The sun was shinning and the soft breeze kept them cool.  The boys sped ahead as fast as they could.   Cole rode over a small rock that threw him off of his bike!  “ Mom!” Luke shouted. “Cole has fallen from his bike!”   Cole was bleeding from his head to his toes.  Scratches on his nose,  gouges on his knees and those toes with no socks had gravel pushed into his skin.
When mom panicked she forgot she was holding naughty max’s leash!  When Max realized he was free he ran with all his might. He was running so fast his back legs would hit his front legs.  “Catch that Dog! Come back Max!! Yelled mom.  Rylie and Luke ran after him but could not catch up.  Everyone was worried, Max was no where to be found.
They all walked back home with sad faces and lowered shoulders.  As they walked into the garage  Everly began to point and laugh.  It was Max!!  He jumped up into the stroller and gave Everly a big lick.
Cole got bandaged up, Everly got her nap, and a movie was put on for a relaxing afternoon. Until mom saw what was under the boy's bed!

By Luke with added details from mom.
